May 19, 2016 - Now if you are a mac user,Behringer might be functioning very good. So I looked on the Behringer's site for UMC22 drivers, and for this, only.
Hi there, Normally I am in the Live Sound section on here, but today I am running into an issue with an interface. I work AV for a college and one of the music professors here had us buy Presonus Studio One Artist (Studio One 3.3.3.41198) and Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 interfaces to install on all the macbook air's in our piano lab (Mac OS X 10.11.3 (15D21)). We have everything installed but the interface shows up as 'USB audio CODEC.' This works fine in Garageband but Studio One absolutely refuses to use that as an audio device. The workaround that I came up with was to create an aggregated device in 'Audio MIDI Setup' in Mac OS and point it to the two inputs and outputs of the interface.
As soon as I do that, Studio One sees it and doesn't mind using it as an audio input. The problem is is that it does cause a little more latency (Not much), and also it complicates the setup (Students will be using these, so our goal is to keep it as simple as possible). So here is what I am asking. I know Mac's are plug-in-play and don't necessarliy use drivers, but is there some piece of software that I am missing that will make the Mac recognize the device? Therefore allowing Studio One to directly use it instead of going through a 'virtual device.'
Any help that I can get would be greatly appreciated.Forrest Houghton.
